Excellent talk and we look forward to the publishing the 2 year data. This has been presented at several international meetings. The results presented were very positive. There are also many other published papers on the subject which are also most encouraging. It is exciting times for A|MD treatments with so much research underway.

yes the recharging is from the inducted electro magnetic energy of the red light photons, at that angstrom frequency, matching some of the atoms of the molecules of the mitochondria. And in any way measurable an induction of energy without exchanging mass.

I love how he isn't afraid to mention when a study didn't produce a positive result (ie, 'failed'). It seems these days everyone twists the data to return some kind of success so their funding parties aren't upset. I think there's a lot to be learned from saying when a study doesn't work, evaluate why, and adjust.

I was diagnosed with dry AMD just over 3 years ago. The vision specialist, who I see every 4 months recommend taking Bausch & Lomb Areds2 capsules twice a day. I live in the USA and don't know if Areds2 is available everywhere else. By doing some research on my own I came across the health benefits of Goji berries in particular for eye health. Almost every day I take a large spoonful of the dried berries. They are not very tasty but my AMD has not worsened for well over 2 years.

I was diagnosed with ARMD last year. After a 2nd cataract removal at Moorfields. I am attending the Retinal clinic to monitor the ARMD (Not sure if its routine follow ups or going to be regular. I asked a nurse about volunteering for ARMD research, but was told I should apply via my GP. Trying to contact a GP these days is impossible. When you do get to see one it is hard to remember what's on the list and prioritise in the alloted 5 minute interview. GPs already have so much admin work on top of their busy workload. I looked online and found the Moorfields patient participation pages and wrote directly with all the details i thought would be relevant, but heard nothing back. I am in early stages of ARMD. I don't have high blood pressure or diabetes. I want to finds ways to stop progression of sight deterioration, but there's not many practical details about PBM treatment used in the research, which I'm grateful you covered. I have been using a red 670 lamp for about 5 mins shortly after waking up. I wasn't sure if I was doing it correctly and concerned I was not doing it consistently, so it's good to know that daily frequency is not essential for benefit. My circadian rhythms are not great so sometimes I don't bother because I miss a treatment opportunity. Sometimes I think (chronically) irregular sleep patterns may contribute to degeneration; that my personal cycles of rest and detoxification are not regular or sufficient to avoid formulation of drusen. However I'm trying my best to participate with what can help, taking AREDS2, at the moment considering taking statins, although my cholesterol levels are not high risk, but the link between people on statins and their statistics of developing ARMD are undeniably lower, and drusen are fatty deposits. I would like to know if the PBM sessions were done in dark, or semidark conditions? What frequency and lumen of red light was used? How near to the eye does the source of light have to be? Many thanks for this video.

After a traumatic wound at the macula of my right eye at age 10, I met with the CBS , already trained on painting & sketching. CBS actually has made my life much enjoyable; it actually much improved my painting, and alleviate the slow & invalidating period of vision loss on my remaining eye, extending from age 70 to age 77. In two months I’m scheduled for cristalline replacement surgery on that eye. I’ll end by signaling some probable occurrences of the CBS in the Arts: In painting: - Pieter Breughel, the Elder - Hieronymus Bosh - Paul Gauguin - Pierre Bonnard (his period post 1905) - Otto Dix In literature: - James Joyce - Dorothy L Sayers - Jorge Luis Borges

Thank you for doing these podcasts. I have had migraines since I was in my 20s and have good friends that have migraine. We find it very difficult to shop due to the bright lights. It hasn’t been long since I learned that there is much more blue light in the LEDs than red. For the last last 10 years people have taken migraine seriously…as a neurological condition. Light plays such an important part in the life of migraineurs. I would really like to try the red light treatment to see if it makes a difference when going grocery shopping. Thank you wholeheartedly for doing the research you do as you will help people to live a better life.
